The U.S. military has extended the tours of duty for all active soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The tours will be extended about three months, marking the longest combat tours since World War II. This will affect 100,000 soldiers, and also marks the first time that active-duty soldiers will have spent more time at war than at home.
